About HBV

Intended use

The HBV-5 Combo Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a rapid chromatographic imm-unoassay for the qualitative detection of HBsAg, HBsAb, HBeAg, HBeAb andHBcAb in Whole Blood/Serum /Plasma. lt provides an aid in the diagnosisof infection with Hepatitis B Virus.

Clinical signifcance

Hepatitis B Surface Antigen(HBsAg)       Positive indicates current HBV infection

Hepatitis B Surface Antibody(HBsAb)     Positive indicates immunity

Hepatitis B e-Antigen (HBeAg)               Positive suggests active viral replication and high infectivity

Hepatitis B e-Antibody (HBeAb)             Positive usually indicates lower viral replication and reduced infectivity

Hepatitis B Core Antibody (HBcAb)        Positive indicates past or current HBV infection
